One of the world’s biggest sports betting and gaming brands, Betway has signed partnership agreements with the Philadelphia Flyers of the NHL and the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA.

The agreements will allow Betway’s logos and branding to appear across media coverage of both teams’ games, their social media channels and more.

Betway, one of Europe’s biggest online gambling brands, received its license from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board in May of this year, and has launched statewide with its online betting app. Now, the operator is clearly looking to reach out to potential customers and these deals with sports organizations are the best way to spread the word.

Similar partnerships were announced earlier in the year as BetMGM entered into a partnership with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Unibet signed a deal with Pittsburgh Steelers just ahead of the start of the NFL season.

Betway announced their partnership with the 76ers in late October, while the Flyers partnership was announced on November 9. Both partnerships will likely boost the appeal of Betway’s app among local sports bettors and fans of the two teams.

What’s in it for Betway?

By becoming betting sponsors with the two clubs, Betway will get all the extra marketing they could possibly want and will have access to millions of potential customers, especially at the Wells Fargo Center, where both teams play their home games.

The Philadelphia Flyers deal will see Betway’s branding appear on the dasherboards and the ice for all home games throughout the season, which should give them amazing exposure.

“Continuing the growth of the brand, we’re thrilled to add the Philadelphia Flyers to our burgeoning North American portfolio,” said Betway CEO Anthony Werkman. “Through our partnerships with both the Flyers and the 76ers, Betway now has a major presence in the fanatical sporting city of Philadelphia.

“The Flyers are one of the most popular teams in the NHL, setting social media and TV viewership records, so this partnership will give us huge exposure to fans throughout Pennsylvania who have access to our products.”

A similar deal was made between Betway and the 76ers, with Betway branding to be displayed at all locally televised home games throughout the season. This will include courtside LED screens, game clocks, and the 52-square foot court aprons.

Both teams have also pledged to expose Betway through their social media streams, with Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts with millions of followers all in play.

“We are thrilled to announce this partnership with Betway,” said Owen Morin, vice president of corporate presidents of the Philadelphia 76ers. “As a leader in sports betting across leagues and teams, Betway is best-in-class and provides their customers with premiere betting offerings. Together we will bring elite experiences to 76ers fans.”

Without a doubt, Betway will be looking to use these new partnerships and a variety of other marketing strategies to get their brand name across to Pennsylvania players. The operator will also be looking to conquer a piece of the already well-saturated market that continues to see new operators entering on a regular basis.
