Pennsylvania sportsbooks generated $570.3 million in handle in June, up 17.9% from a year earlier, but taxable sports wagering revenue fell 39.6% to $31 million, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported. The state also finished the month with combined total gaming revenue, including fantasy contests, of $535.3 million, down 1.7% from June 2025 and below May’s record $625.5 million.
Covers, which published the June market breakdown, said the increase came after consecutive months of year-over-year handle declines. It also said Pennsylvania operators cleared $500 million in handle for the 11th straight month, while gross sports wagering revenue came in at $48 million, down 28.1% from a year earlier.
The market’s hold slipped to 8.4%, the lowest level of 2026 and the first time it had fallen below 9% since September 2025. Online sportsbooks won back 8.6% of a $548.6 million handle, while retail books held 4.4% on more than $21 million in wagers.
Among the largest operators, FanDuel and DraftKings took in $186.4 million and $182.5 million in handle, respectively. FanDuel’s hold stayed just under 10%, DraftKings held 6.9%, Fanatics held 7%, BetMGM held 10% and bet365 held 11%.
The rest of Pennsylvania’s gaming market was mixed. Internet casino revenue rose 14.1% to $242.5 million, while revenue from in-person slots fell 1.3% and land-based table games slipped 21%.
