Penn National Gaming is continuing its rapid and aggressive expansion in Pennsylvania as the company just announced the launch of yet another mini casino, this time in Morgantown.

The new Hollywood Casino Morgantown is set to open its doors at Noon on December 22, ahead of the upcoming Christmas holiday. The casino is located at the intersection of three major highways, which will enable convenient access to visitors from numerous townships.

Hollywood Casino Morgantown will be classified as Category 4 casino and is the company’s fourth facility in the Keystone State, joining the Hollywood Casino in Grantville, the recently rebranded Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, and Hollywood Casino York, which opened in August.

“The countdown to our grand opening begins today,” said Marc Guastella, vice president and general manager for Hollywood Casino Morgantown. “We’re very excited to soon welcome patrons to this beautiful new property, where they’ll be able to experience premier gaming, dining and entertainment.”

Amenities at Hollywood Casino Morgantown

The latest Penn National facility in Morgantown will feature an 80,000-square-foot floor with 750 slot machines and 30 tables for various casino games. In addition to these gaming options, players will also have a chance to bet on sports at an exclusive Barstool Sportsbook, or play on an climate-controlled outdoor terrace.

The Barstool Sportsbook in particular will be of great appeal to the players, who will have the opportunity to enjoy sporting events on a massive jumbotron situated above the bar, as well as a number of other high-resolution TVs across the facility.

The sportsbook will also offer an in-house restaurant with 150 seats, serving beer, cocktails and food, and allowing players to relax while watching the games. Convenient access to betting kiosks throughout the sportsbook will make it possible to quickly place bets and go back to enjoying your day with your friends at the tables.

Hollywood Casino Morgantown will feature two other restaurants as well. Tony Luke’s, a taste of South Philly, is coming to Morgantown via a unique partnership with the brand, which will see Tony’s unique Italian food made available for all customers. There will also be a Bar 76 adjacent to the gaming floor with seating for up to 100 patrons.

Red Lotus Asian Kitchen will complete the food and beverages offer at the Morgantown casino, with authentic Asian cuisine served at this restaurant. The restaurant will feature a modern design with an open kitchen visible from the gaming floor.

Many of the amenities available will be similar to what was offered with the recent launch of the Hollywood Casino York.

Before the casino is opened, Penn National will host two invitational test days, the proceeds of which will be donated to various charities in the Morgantown area such as the Honey Brook Food Pantry, the Jarett Yoder Foundation and the United Way of Berks County.

“We are thrilled to be supporting these incredible organizations in Berks, Chester and Lancaster Counties,” Guastella said. “Penn National is committed to being actively engaged in the community and partnering with worthwhile groups to assist those in need.”

The Penn National operated casino in Morgantown is set to employ 375 people in total, with $111 million invested into the facility overall. Those interested in a position with the casino can still apply for a job at the Holiday Inn Morgantown, with positions available in casino operations, human resources, food and beverages, marketing, security and surveillance, and more.
