PokerStars on FanDuel has completed its September Dynasty Series with “LoveToLose” winning the U.S. $300 Main Event for $59,422 and “Mamalega” taking the Ontario edition for $10,100.
The U.S. Main Event attracted 859 entries and carried a $350,000 guarantee. Ontario’s $300 Main Event drew 176 entries. PokerNews, which reported the results, described the festival as one of the platform’s largest since PokerStars’ operations moved to FanDuel and the three-state U.S. player pool was combined earlier this year.
As we reported in September, the festival had been set to bring together players in Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania for 100 U.S. events, alongside a separate Ontario schedule. The Ontario programme, Poker.org reported before the series, was the first tournament series on the PokerStars on FanDuel platform for players in the province and comprised 61 events.
PokerNews put the series’ guarantees at $3.5 million across Ontario, New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania. A separate Poker.org preview described $3.5 million in guarantees across the 100-event U.S. schedule alone, so the available reports differ on how that headline figure was scoped.
The U.S. programme offered buy-ins from $10 to $1,500 and games including no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha and pot-limit Omaha 5. Ontario’s buy-ins ranged from C$30 to C$1,500 and its events were exclusively no-limit hold’em, including mystery bounty and progressive knockout formats.
Alongside the two $300 Main Events, the series featured a $1,500 U.S. High Roller. PokerNews said it opened Sept. 9 with a $50 Nightly Dynasty event carrying a $25,000 guarantee and a $1,000 Storm Kickoff with a $100,000 guarantee, before ending Sept. 28 with the $150 Sendoff Cooldown.
PokerStars exclusively on FanDuel launched in Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania on April 1. FanDuel said at the time that pooling liquidity across those markets would create one of North America’s largest regulated online poker networks, with larger games and prize pools.
