PokerStars on FanDuel has announced the September Dynasty Series, an online festival that runs from Sept. 12 to 28 across its U.S. and Ontario platforms. On the U.S. side, the series is open to players in Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and includes 100 scheduled events.
In August, FanDuel had only confirmed that a September tournament series was coming, without revealing the name or the schedule. As covered in June, PokerStars and FanDuel had moved through a soft launch and then a full launch after the standalone PokerStars app was phased out. The new festival follows April’s Ignite Series, which packed 90 tournaments into three weeks with $5 million in guarantees and later generated a reported $1.06 million shortfall.
The U.S. schedule starts at $10 and tops out at a $1,500 High Roller on Sept. 27. The centrepiece is a $300 Main Event on Sept. 27 and 28 with a $350,000 guarantee. A $50 Mini Main Event also appears on the slate, with a $75,000 guarantee.
The U.S. lineup mixes no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha and PLO5, with no-limit hold’em making up the largest share of events. A leaderboard will run throughout the series, and PokerStars on FanDuel said more details on that component will follow next week.
Ontario gets 61 events, and the series will be the first tournament festival on PokerStars on FanDuel in that market. Buy-ins there range from C$30 to C$1,500, and the schedule is limited to no-limit hold’em events, including regular, PKO and mystery bounty formats. When the schedule was published, Ontario guarantees had not yet been announced.
