PointsBet PA is performing its soft launch in Pennsylvania this week, according to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).

PGCB spokesman Doug Harbach told PA Gaming Review that the operator began its soft launch on Monday, February 7, 2022, from 2 pm until 10 pm. The soft launch will continue Tuesday, February 8, from 2 pm until midnight, and on Wednesday, February 9, from noon until midnight.

The soft launch period, which is required by law, follows PointsBet’s approval for PA online gambling and sports betting licenses, which was announced in late January. PointsBet is launching in partnership with Penn National Gaming and will be operating under the Hollywood Casino York gaming license.

PointsBet has already established a substantial presence in the US, as the Australian bookmaker first launched in New Jersey back in January 2019 and in the years since, has expanded to Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Colorado, Michigan, West Virginia, Virginia, and most recently, New York, where it launched in late January. In total, Pennsylvania marks the tenth US state in which the operator will be active, with more certainly to follow.

As the exclusive sports betting partner of NBC Sports, PointsBet will be featured in multiplatform gameday integrations on NBC Sports Philadelphia, regional home to the MLB’s Phillies, the NFL’s 76ers, and the NHL’s Flyers.
