Hollywood Casino Online PA has paid a Pennsylvania player $4,365,327 after a $5.10 spin on Aug. 30, a prize tied to the Rome Fight for Gold: The Tiger’s Rage slot and its DropZone Jackpots progressive system. The operator said it was the biggest win in the site’s history and the largest online-casino jackpot ever confirmed in Pennsylvania.

That result follows a year in which Pennsylvania’s iGaming market has kept setting marks, as reported in June, when the state’s online casinos brought in $321.1 million in May revenue. The new payout gives the market a headline-grabbing single win, rather than just another monthly total.

Casino.com described the anonymous winner’s payout as nearly $4.4 million and said it was the biggest online-casino jackpot in Pennsylvania and the fourth-largest U.S. jackpot ever. CrossingBroad reported the exact figure and said it was the fifth-largest online-casino slot jackpot in the country, noting that before Aug. 30 only four U.S. online slot jackpots had exceeded $4 million.

The DropZone system works by letting players opt into a progressive pool with a small extra wager on each spin. In Pennsylvania, that contribution is capped at 10 cents per spin, while Hollywood offers the same system in Michigan, New Jersey and West Virginia.

Casinos.com said the new payout doubled Pennsylvania’s previous high of $2.3 million, set on DraftKings’ Cash Eruption in January 2024. It also placed the win in the wider U.S. context by pointing to the $22.4 million Michigan jackpot on Huff N’ Even More Puff and to the $39.7 million all-time land-based slots record from 2003.
