The Championship Event takes place on Sunday, October 15, kicking off at 6:30 p.m., local time. The tournament will play out in the popular Mystery Bounty format, with a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000. However, those keen to get involved must set aside $1000 for the buy-in.

One Tournament Not to Miss

The upcoming Mystery Bounty Championship Event is one tournament that every serious and recreational player in the state will want to be a part of. The winner will receive a WSOP gold bracelet, the ultimate poker trophy, and that alone is motivation enough for many.

However, there is much more excitement this tournament brings along. The guaranteed prize pool of $150,000 is quite generous, even if the buy-in is somewhat steep, plus the MB format has its own unique appeal.

Mystery bounties will kick in at level 18, which is also when the late registration period ends. Depending on how things break down, players might get to compete for bounties before even making the money, which adds an interesting dynamic to these events.

The biggest bounty will be at least $21,000, and it will go to one lucky player, while two players will pick up bounties of $9,000 each, and there are many smaller knockout prizes to fight for. If the tournament does not break the guarantee, the person picking up the biggest bounty will have won more than the second-place finisher in the entire event.

For those who want to try and qualify, there are different satellite opportunities, including the $100 Mega Satellite starting a few hours prior to the Championship event, offering one last chance for the players to lock in their seats and battle it out for the bracelet and big bounties.

Circuit Series in Full Swing

Although the Mystery Bounty Championship is the highlight of the weekend, there is a lot more tournament action happening at WSOP PA. The Circuit Series kicked off on October 5, and there is a full week of play and ten events on the docket before things wrap up on October 22.

Playing alongside the Championship this Sunday, the $215 WSOP Circuit Series Event #11 features a prize pool of $40,000 and, of course, a Gold Ring that comes with the invitation to the Tournament of Champions. Event #13 on October 17 also has the guarantee of $40,000 but a somewhat steeper buy-in of $1000.

On the final day of the Series, October 22, the $525 Main Event takes place, offering a rather handsome guarantee of $50,000 to wrap things up in style.

All in all, an action-packed Sunday is ahead at WSOP PA, and players who still have not locked their seats in the Championship event have plenty of time to do so via one of the satellites running on the site over the weekend.
