Online Poker Series

BetMGM Poker PA, one of only four online poker rooms in Pennsylvania, will run a 10-event online series that begins on September 19 and runs through September 26. Buy-ins for the series range from $18 for a “mini” NLH event on September 19 to a $1,000 buy-in for the $50,000 contest on September 26.

The series begins with an 8-max NLH with $35,000 in guaranteed prize money, as well as a $200 buy-in, on September 19. The operator will simultaneously hold the 8-max “mini” NLH event, which has $5,000 guaranteed. Total fees for the latter are just $20, but the former will cost players $215 in total to enter.

A pair of NLH matches with $15,000 in prize money guaranteed for each match follows on September 20 and 21. Both events have fees totaling $215, but the September 20 event is in 8-max format while the September 21 match is 6-max.

The series shifts to a 6-max pot-limit Omaha (PLO) match for its fifth event on September 22, with a $100 buy-in and $10,000 in guaranteed prize money.

An 8-max progressive knockout (PKO) event follows the next day. The total entry cost for the PKO is $320 per player—which includes a $150 buy-in, a $20 fee and a $150 bounty. The PKO event, the sixth match in the series, will have $20,000 guaranteed.

A 6-max “turbo” NLH event will be offered by BetMGM on September 24, with a $100 buy-in and $10,000 in prize money at stake. Another 8-max NLH follows the next day with a $200 buy-in and players competing for a piece of $15,000 in guaranteed prize money.

The series closes with a pair of events on September 26. The first is a Sunday Special 8-max NLH event with a $200 buy-in and $35,000 guaranteed, while the second event is the main event—an 8-max NLH with the $1,000 buy-in and $50,000 guaranteed to be on offer.

The Pennsylvania series closely aligns with a similar series being offered in Michigan by operator BetMGM MI.

New Casino Game Releases

BetMGM Casino PA is also offering three new online casino game titles:

  • 11 Champions – by Digital Gaming Corp. (DGC);
  • Double Jackpot Bullseye – by Everi; and
  • Jack in a Pot – by Red Tiger.

Last month, BetMGM’s vice president for gaming, Matthew Sunderland, lauded the recent addition of more DGC games in the Keystone State. “Whether through in-house or third-party titles, BetMGM is focused on providing players the most complete, robust and innovative gaming offerings,” Sunderland said.

“DGC’s content is popular with New Jersey players and we expect their games to perform just as well in Pennsylvania, where we firmly hold the #2 position in gross gaming revenue (GGR) market share.”
