PGCB figures show total revenue up 3.93% year over year, with iGaming rising as sports wagering revenue declined

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reported combined total gaming revenue of $625,467,775 for May 2026, including fantasy contests. That total was 3.93% above revenue generated in May 2025.

PGCB said the May result was the highest monthly amount to date for the types of gaming it regulates. The prior monthly high was $623,092,053 in January 2025.

Tax revenue generated in May 2026 was $269,949,950. For the same month, PGCB reported retail slots revenue of $232,063,095, up 3.20% versus May 2025.

PGCB also reported that the number of slot machines in operation rose to 24,885 in May 2026, from 24,347 a year earlier. Retail table games revenue was $81,244,322, up 1.66% year over year.

Sports wagering revenue totaled $52,642,686, down 11.4% compared with May 2025. PGCB said sports wagering handle was $595,569,802, down 9.12% versus the prior year’s month.

iGaming revenue (casino games offered online) reached $254,825,042, up 9.44% year over year. PGCB reported iGaming tax revenue of $117,688,979.

Other categories included VGT revenue of $3,567,771, down 3.14% versus May 2025, and fantasy contests revenue of $1,124,858, up 3.30%.

In casino-level reporting from the PGCB release, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course generated $115,474,978 in total revenue and $98,877,488 in iGaming revenue in May 2026, for May 2026.
